The strips of floured fish is an ideal dish for those who like to eat fried but without so much fat.

Ingredients

6 portions
  • 1 kilo sawfish, in strips, without thorns
  • 2 eggs, whole
  • 4 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 2 cups beer, (or a pot beer)
  • 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon
  • 3 cups wheat flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • lemon juice, 5 pieces, seedless
  • 500 milliliters sunflower oil

Preparation

In a bowl add all the ingredients and incorporate with a balloon whisk, until it is a smooth mixture without lumps.
The fish is placed in a refractory and marinated with salt and lemon juice, for about 20 minutes, inside the refrigerator, covered with sticky plastic.
After the marinade has passed, the fish is drained in a large colander over the sink.
A deep frying pan with the 500 milliliters of sunflower oil is placed in the fire.
When the oil is very hot, we submerge in the flour mixture, which we previously prepared, one by one the fish strips. And they can be fried from 3 to 3.
The strips are removed from the oil when the dough cover of the fish is lightly browned, it is important to avoid burning.
They are drained on absorbent paper or a large piece of metal.

PRESENTATION

It can be accompanied with white rice, valentina sauce and lemon juice.

TIPS

You should put little salt because the fish is already salty and we do not want it to go too much. The fishmonger knows how to remove the fillets without thorns and from there obtain the fish strips.
