This Mexican tuna thread recipe is ideal to share with the family this Lent as it is very yielding and easy to make, as well as being spectacular to look at. This delicious Mexican tuna thread can be made with ingredients you have at home and McCORMICK Balance® Mayonnaise with Avocado Oil.

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 1/2 red onions
  • 2 serrano peppers
  • 5 tomatoes, medium
  • 1/2 cups coriander
  • 4 cups canned tuna, drained
  • 1 lemon, juice, seeded
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1 cup McCORMICK Balance® Mayonnaise with Avocado Oil
  • enough pico de gallo, with avocado, to accompany
  • enough coriander leave, to decorate
  • enough cracker, To accompany

Preparation

On a board, finely chop the red onion, the serrano pepper, the tomato and the coriander.
In a bowl mix the tuna with the tomato, onion, serrano pepper, coriander, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, pepper and McCORMICK Balance® Mayonnaise with Avocado Oil.
Place a layer of adherent plastic in a thread mold and on top, the tuna mixture and press to compact it.
Refrigerate 1 hour.
Unmold and decorate with pico de gallo with avocado and coriander leaves. Accompany with salty crackers.

TIPS

Cover the thread with plastic wrap before refrigerating, so it does not dry out.
