Eating tacos will never be as healthy and delicious as with this recipe for Jicama Tacos with Ham and Cheese Salad. This is an excellent option for Lent or for a meal on hot days. These tacos are ideal for when you are trying to eat less carbohydrates, since we replaced the tortilla with slices of jicama. A great tip for when you make jicama tacos is that you do not make them too far in advance to avoid the tacos becoming watery.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1/2 FUD® Reduced Fat Panela Cheese
  • 3 slices Virginia FUD Turkey Cuida-t + ®
  • 1/2 cups cucumber, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cups mango, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cups celery, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cups tomtato, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cups lemon juice
  • 1/4 cups olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon oregano, dry
  • enough salt and pepper
  • 1/2 jicama, cut into thin slices for taco
  • 1 avocado, cut into slices, to decorate

Preparation

On a board with a knife cut the FUD® Reduced Fat Panela Cheese and the Virginia FUD Turkey-T + ® Turkey Ham in small cubes.
Mix them with cucumber, mango, celery, tomato, season with lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, salt and pepper.
On a board place the jicama slices and fill, roll and decorate with avocado. Enjoy

Decorate with slices of avocado and enjoy.

TIPS

These tacos are ideal for when you are watching your figure as we replace tortilla with jicama slices. Do not make them too far in in advance so that they do not become too moist.
