Heat the butter, add the leeks, and cover the pan. Sauté for 8 to 10 minutes over low heat. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thick slices; add them to the pan. Season and sprinkle the celery seeds; stir well and cook uncovered for 7 to 8 minutes over medium heat.
