Poblano Rice Cake

This option to share with your family is ideal if you love preparing Poblano style rice, with lots of flavor of tasty chile poblano roasted with a little bit of yellow corn, Mexican cream and Oaxacan cheese.

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 1/4 of Cup of coriander to blend
  • 1 piece of poblano pepper roasted and deveined to blend
  • 2 cloves of garlic to blend
  • 3 cups of chicken soup to blend
  • 1/2 piece of onion to blend
  • 1/4 of Cup of vegetable oil to fry
  • 1 1/2 cups of rice washed with warm water and drained
  • 1 Cup of rajas poblanas
  • 1 Cup of corn kernels yellow
  • to taste of rajas poblanas to decorate
  • to taste of corn kernels to decorate

    Preparation

    Add cilantro, poblano pepper, garlic, chicken broth, onion to the blender and blend for 2 minutes.
    Warm a deep pot over medium heat with the oil, fry the rice for 7 minutes until golden brown, add the preparation that you previously blended, bring to a boil, then add the poblano strips and the corn kernels, lower the heat and cover with a lid until done.
    Rest the rice for 10 minutes, place the rice in the mold and with the silicone spatula stuff and press the rice to compact very well. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove from mold. Cut a slice and serve. Enjoy.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve your cake and decorate with more corn kernels, Mexican cream, coriander and fresh cheese.

    TIPS

    The tip for a good rice is always frying it very well, so it will be spectacular.
