Cut the tortillas into thin strips. Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium heat and fry the tortilla strips until golden for 5 minutes. Remove from the oil and drain to remove excess oil. Heat in a medium saucepan the tortilla soup broth plus one can of water over medium heat until it boils for 10 minutes, then remove from heat.
