Many times we want to impress in the kitchen, and without realizing it, we miscalculate the amount of ingredients, ending up with extra dough. If you decided to make delicious homemade croissants and you have some dough left over, you can keep some tricks in mind to make sure you don't waste it.
As we all know, dough can be stored in the refrigerator, and if the quantity allows, after thawing it, by rolling it out to 1/2 centimeter thick, we can prepare a delicious tart that we will fill with julienned or thinly sliced apples, placing them in the center. Then, to make it look more appealing, we sprinkle with powdered sugar and lemon zest. We will proceed to close it like an envelope, pressing the edges well so that the filling doesn’t escape.
We place it in a well-greased pan to prevent sticking and let it rise for at least 30 minutes. When it has doubled in volume, we cook it in a hot oven until the dough is nicely golden. This way we will obtain another type of snack that we can enjoy at tea time, with coffee, or a nice mate, with friends, or simply to wait for the children when they return from school.
