Preparation
Heat the oven to 350ºF. Grease a rectangular mold 21 cm long by 12 wide by 7 high and cover with waxed paper. Heat the milk with sugar and put butter, once it dissolves, remove from heat, add dates and let warm.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Make a hole in the center and add the mixture of milk, eggs and nuts. Move until well mixed.
Put the mixture in the mold and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out dry, about 35-45 minutes. Allow to cool before slicing.
