This date and nut bread is delicious for breakfast or to accompany with a cup of coffee in the afternoon. Prepare its sweet flavor and fluffy texture will conquer you. It is a bread that can also serve as a gift and the person who receives it will be delighted with its flavor.

Ingredients

8 servings
  • 250 milliliters of milk
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 60 grams of Butter
  • 170 grams of date chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 250 grams of whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of Salt
  • 1 egg
  • 60 grams of nut chopped

    Preparation

    Heat the oven to 350ºF. Grease a rectangular mold 21 cm long by 12 wide by 7 high and cover with waxed paper. Heat the milk with sugar and put butter, once it dissolves, remove from heat, add dates and let warm.
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Make a hole in the center and add the mixture of milk, eggs and nuts. Move until well mixed.
    Put the mixture in the mold and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out dry, about 35-45 minutes. Allow to cool before slicing.
