Melt the 6 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet and add the 1/3 cup of sugar. Mix allowing the sugar to dissolve. Cut the apples into strips and cook in the sugar and butter mixture for 10 minutes. Add the whipped cream and continue cooking for 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
