Ingredients

8 portions
  • 1 stick butter, at room temperature. Reserve 3 tablespoons to grease the molds
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs, Separate the whites from the yolks
  • 3 cups flour, Reserve 3 tablespoons to flour the molds
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons liquid vanilla, one for the cake and one for the chantilly cream
  • 3 drops vegetal color additive, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange and pink
  • 2 cups whipping cream, (for the chantilly cream)
  • 1/3 cups powdered sugar, (for the chantilly cream)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, (for the chantilly cream)
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate chip, (for decoration)

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
For the cake, mix the dry ingredients and pass them through a sieve. Reservation.
With an electric mixer , add the butter with the sugar for 2 minutes. Add the egg yolks one by one while continuing to beat. Slow down and incorporate the dry ones alternating with milk and vanilla until they are fully integrated.
On the other hand, beat the whites to form hard peaks. It incorporates in an enveloping way the egg whites to the previous mixture. Divide into 6 medium containers and paint each one with a different color. Pour each colored dough into 18-cm cake molds, previously greased and floured.
Bake each colored dough separately to obtain 6 layers of cake, for 20 minutes or until when inserting a toothpick, it comes out clean. Chills and releases.
For the chantilly cream, beat the whipping cream at high speed and gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla, continue beating until firm peaks are obtained.
Place the cake layers one on top of the other using a little of the chantilly cream between layers. Cover the cake with the rest of the cream and decorate with the colored chips.

PRESENTATION

Serve on a white plate so that the slices shine.

TIPS

Add the dye little by little to the mix so you have better control over the color you want to achieve.

Problema Lo primero que debieron decir era que se necesitaban 6 moldes para hornear o 45 min de preparación de la masa y 2 horas y media de hornear si sólo cuentas con un molde..... dado que la receta esta valuada como sencilla y rápida he permitido a mis hijas hacer el experimento y no ha resultado la mejor experiencia
