Ingredients

8 portions
  • 8 egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar, 300 g
  • 3 cups walnut, chopped
  • 2 cups cracker
  • 2 cups cream cheese, for bitumen, 380 g
  • 3/4 cups powdered sugar, 100 g
  • 2 tablespoons Orange zest
  • 1 1/2 cups guava, In rooms
  • 1/4 cups walnut, chopped
  • 1/2 cups dulce de leche, striped to decorate

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 160 ° C.
In a mixer, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar at maximum speed until firm peaks are obtained, add the vanilla and sugar little by little in the form of rain, beat about 5 minutes, until they have a bright color and firm peaks.
Stir in the nuts and crackers. Pour into a previously greased mold and with waxed paper to avoid sticking. Bake at 160 ° C for 1 hour. Cool and remove from the mold carefully to prevent breakage.
To make the bitumen, beat the cream cheese until the lumps are completely dissolved, add the icing sugar and the orange zest.
Cover the mostachón with the bitumen and guavas, sprinkle with the walnut and decorate with the dulce de leche. Enjoy.

TIPS

The mostachón tends to dry out if you overbake it. Wait until it is completely cold before unmolding it to prevent it from breaking. You can use guava in syrup if you don't have fresh guava.
