Ingredients

12 portions
  • 500 grams flour
  • 250 grams margarine, or butter
  • 150 milliliters Water
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 5 grams salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon Yellow pepper
  • 1 pinch chicken seasoning
  • salt, and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, hard
  • 1 egg, milkshake to paint the empanadas

Preparation

Parboil the chicken breast and reserve. In a pan fry the onion, the yellow pepper with the seasoning, add the sliced ​​or frayed parboiled breast together with the salt and pepper to taste. Reserve.
In a bowl, pour the flour and make a hole, pour the margarine or butter that must be very cold and with a fork mix it with the flour until it forms a mixture similar to oats.
Mix the water with the sugar, salt, yolk and vanilla and pour it into the previous flour mixture. Knead until a homogeneous mass is formed. Take to the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
Form the empanadas, fill with the chicken and the hard-boiled egg. Make the repulgue and put on a previously greased plate.
With a brush paint the empanadas with the beaten egg and put in the oven for approx. 30 minutes at 180 ° C.
