Crostini Serrano Ham with Fig Jam

If you are looking for a simple and easy-to-make snack, we recommend these Crostinis, ideal for preparing them quickly. You just have to spread the soft and creamy Queso de La Vaca La Ríe® with a hint of serrano ham, accompanied by a fresh and sweet fig, topped with fig honey and a touch of arugula.

Ingredients

10 portions
  • 1 cup FIG, ripe, cut into quarters
  • 1/2 cups raw sugar
  • 1 pinch ground cardamom
  • 1 morita chile pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cups Water
  • 10 breads, toasted for crostini
  • 1 package The Laughing Cow Cheese®, 171 g
  • 10 sheets Serrano ham
  • 1 cup FIG, cut in quarters
  • 1 cup arugula

Preparation

Heat a pot and add the figs, sugar, cardamom, chile morita and water, cook the jam until it gets a thick and uniform consistency. Chill and reserve.
Spread the soft and creamy La Vaca La Ríe® Cheese on the bread croutons, Serrano ham on each croton.
Place a fig, cover with the jam and decorate with arugula.

PRESENTATION

Serve in a base of bread, spread cheese add slices of ham, a quarter of fig and fresh arugula.

TIPS

Be careful with the amount of morita pepper for the jam. You want it to have a spicy touch, but not to lose the taste of the fig.
