Try this El Norteño marinated taco recipe. They are delicious pork tacos marinated for a weekend at home!

8 portions
  • 2 kilos pork meat, chopped thin but not very small
  • 2 packages corn tortilla, yellow
  • 120 grams achiote
  • 1 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 7 leaves bay (laurel)
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon marjoram
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 6 black pepper, fat
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 3 chile colorado powder
  • 2 pasilla chili peppers
  • 4 chile de árbol peppers
  • 6 garlic
  • fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 10 lemons
  • 125 grams lard
  • salt, to taste
  • 2 onions, finely chopped


Blend very well the Annatto, orange juice, bay leaf, thyme, marjoram, oregano, cumin, fat peppers, cloves, salt, garlic and chilies
In a large container with a lid, add the minced meat with the content of the blender without straining (it should be a very thin paste) and marinate 12 hrs. in refigeration
heat a pan with 3 chunks of butter and put the meat to brown until it is to your liking (very golden or nothing else cooked)
heat the tortillas in a comal, soak them in a little bit of butter and put them together so they do not get cold and hard
serve in two tortillas a teaspoon of the meat put on the coriander and chopped onion and lemon
Serve with sauce, each portion is four tacos and enjoy


It can prepare all the meat and if they are few people it can keep it in refrigerator up to 1 week (raw) and brown the one that will be used.

Mira Mis Ojos Están muy ricos...! yo loca y emocionada por que nunca los había hecho y me quedaron pa chuparse los dedos la carne queda muy bien sazonada y comimos muy bien nada raquitica las porciones
