Empanadas Fáciles de Camarón

If you love to eat seafood in all its presentations, here's how to make Easy Shrimp Empanadas, a Lenten recipe or ideal to satisfy a weekend craving. For the recipe of empanadas to be a success, you must take into account that the dough has to rest long enough and so, when it is extended, it will not contract.

Ingredients

6 servings
  • 3 cups of flour for the dough
  • 2 spoonfuls of sugar for the dough
  • 1/2 tablespoon of Salt for the dough
  • 1/4 of Cup of vegetable oil for the dough
  • 1 Cup of Water for the dough
  • 2 cups of shrimp precooked
  • 1 Cup of tomato cut into cubes
  • 1/2 Cup of onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 of Cup of coriander finely chopped
  • enough of salt and pepper
  • enough of vegetable oil to fry
  • enough of Mayonnaise for serving
  • enough of ketchup for serving
  • enough of sauce spicy, for serving
  • enough of avocado in slices, for serving
  • enough of green lemon for serving

    Preparation

    In a bowl, mix flour with sugar, salt, oil, water and knead until a homogeneous mass.
    Place the dough in a bowl and let stand for 20 minutes.
    For the filling, mix the shrimp with the tomato, onion and cilantro. Season with salt and pepper.
    On a floured surface form the dough into balls, extend each to a thickness of 2 mm, add the filling and with your fingers, close forming a braid.
    In a small pot over medium heat, heat the oil and fry the empanadas until golden brown. Drain them on absorbent paper.
    Open the empanadas with a knife, taking care not to break them open. Serve with mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce, avocado and lemon. Serve.

    PRESENTATION

    Open the empanadas and serve with avocado, mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce and lemon.

    TIPS

    It is important that you let the dough for the empanadas rest enough, so that at the moment of extending it, it does not contract.
