In an express pot over medium heat, cook the corn with onion and garlic for 20 minutes after the valve sounds. Reservation.
For the sauce, soak the chiles in hot water for 15 minutes or until they are soft.
Blend the chilies with a little of the soaking liquid along with the garlic, onion, pepper, cumin and cloves.
Add the sauce to the corn preparation. Cook with the pot uncovered for 20 minutes over low heat, stir from time to time.
Add the peeled and headed shrimp to the pozole and continue cooking for 5 to 10 more minutes or until the shrimp are cooked. Season with salt.
