To make exceptional shrimp taquitos, you need to try this recipe in flour tortilla with a shrimp wire marinated in teriyaki sauce. Learn to prepare from scratch a teriyaki sauce to give a sweet taste and an oriental touch to these shrimp. In addition, the filling is grilled and caramelized with homemade teriyaki, prepared with Domino® Mascabado Sugar, garlic, ginger, a spicy touch of habanero pepper and lemon. You will love it!

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil, for the teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons butter, for the teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped, for teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cups soy sauce, for the teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, finely chopped, for teriyaki sauce
  • 1 habanero pepper, roasted and finely chopped, for teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar, for teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup raw sugar, Domino® for teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice, for teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 kilos shrimp, large, clean and without shell
  • 3 slices Pineapple in syrup, cut into pieces
  • 1 red onion, cut into squares
  • 2 cuaresmeño or jalapeño pepper, sliced
  • 1 red pepper, cut into squares
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into squares
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • enough cooking spray oil
  • 12 flour tortillas
  • yellow lemon, at your service

Preparation

For the teriyaki sauce, heat the oil and butter in a pot over medium heat, fry the garlic until it releases its aroma and add the soy sauce, ginger, habanero pepper, rice vinegar, Domino® Muscovado Sugar and the lemon juice. Cook until reduced and obtain a bright and thick sauce. Reservation.
Insert the shrimp, pineapple, onion, Cuaresmeño pepper and peppers on a skewer stick, insert all the ingredients. Season with salt and pepper.
Heat a grill over high heat, sprinkle with skewer oil and grill the skewers until the shrimp change color. Varnish with the teriyaki sauce and finish cooking. Remove and reserve.
On the same grill, heat the flour tortillas.
Remove the sticks from the skewers and serve over the hot tortillas, add more teriyaki sauce if desired and accompany with yellow lemon.

PRESENTATION

Serve the tacos accompanied with yellow lemon.

TIPS

Cooking shrimp on skewer will help you have better control of the ingredients in the barbecue, it will also make the process much easier.
