Learn how to make homemade sushi easier and more delicious with this recipe for rice roll stuffed with surimi, cream cheese and vegetables. This sushi roll will look like the one from your favorite restaurant and of course, we also show you how to prepare the chilies toreado with soy sauce that give it a spicy touch. Ingredients

5 portions
  • 1 1/2 cups sushi rice
  • enough Water, cold to wipe the rice
  • 3 cups Water, hot for cooking rice
  • 4 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 nori seaweed
  • 1 cup cream cheese, in sticks for the filling
  • 1 cup cucumber, in sticks, without shell for filling
  • 1 cup carrot, in sticks, without shell for filling
  • 1 1/2 cups surimi, in sticks for the filling
  • 1 cup flour, to bread
  • 2 eggs, to bread
  • 2 cups ground bread, to bread
  • enough vegetal oil
  • enough cucumber, in thin strips to decorate
  • enough sesame seed, praline to decorate
  • enough soy, with serrano chili to accompany

Preparation

Soak the rice in cold water for 5 minutes, drain and repeat three times.
In a pot with a lid, cook the rice with 3 cups of hot water for 10 minutes, over low heat. Remove from heat. Spread on a tray and cool for 15 minutes.
Mix the rice vinegar with the sugar and salt. Then pour it over the cold rice and incorporate. Rest for a few minutes.
Assemble the sushi roll: on a bamboo mat with adhesive plastic, place a piece of Nori seaweed; with your wet hands, cover with rice; turn and fill with the cream cheese, cucumber, carrot and surimi sticks. Close with the help of the mat and shape it by squeezing it. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
To bread the roll, cover it with the flour, pass it through the egg and cover it with the breadcrumbs. Fry in hot vegetable oil. Drain.
Cut the roll into 1 centimeter wide slices. Place on an extended plate, accompany with cucumber and decorate with sesame. Enjoy with soy sauce and serrano pepper.

PRESENTATION

Garnish with caramelised sesame seeds. Accompany with soy and serrano pepper.

TIPS

Refrigerate the roll before breading, it will help the shape not be lost.
