Ingredients

5 portions
  • 1 1/2 cups sushi rice
  • enough Water, cold to rinse the rice
  • 3 cups Water, hot for cooking rice
  • 4 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 nori seaweed
  • 1 1/2 cups surimi, in sticks for filling
  • 1 cup cucumber, in sticks, without shell for filling
  • 1 cup carrot, in sticks, without shell for filling
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup flour, to bread
  • 2 eggs, to bread
  • 2 cups panko bread crumbs, to bread
  • enough vegetable oil
  • enough cucumber, in thin strips to decorate
  • enough sesame seed, praline to decorate
  • enough soy, with serrano pepper to accompany

Preparation

Soak the rice in cold water for 5 minutes, drain and repeat three times.
In a saucepan with a lid, cook the rice with 3 cups of hot water for 10 minutes over low heat. Remove from heat. Spread on a tray and cool for 15 minutes.
Mix the rice vinegar with the sugar and the salt. Then pour it over the cold rice and incorporate. Rest for a few minutes.
Assemble the sushi roll: Place a piece of Nori seaweed on a bamboo mat with plastic wrap; with your wet hands, cover with rice; Flip and fill with the cream cheese, cucumber, carrot, and surimi sticks. Close with the help of the mat and shape it by pressing it. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
To bread the roll, cover it with the flour, pass it through the egg and bread it with the breadcrumbs. Fry in hot vegetable oil. Drain.
Cut the roll into slices 1 centimeters wide. Place on an extended plate, accompany with cucumber and decorate with sesame. Enjoy with soy sauce and serrano pepper.

PRESENTATION

Decorate with praline sesame. Accompany with soy and serrano pepper.

TIPS

Refrigerate the roll before breading it, it will help that the shape is not lost.
