Preparation
Put the rice in a small pan with 600ml of water. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender. Stir with the vinegar cover and let cool.
Divide the rice between the nori leaves and spread evenly, leaving an edge of 1 cm at the top and bottom. Place on rice, surimi, carrot, cucumber and cream cheese.
Fold the bottom edge of the nori seaweed sheets over the stuffing and roll tightly.
Moisten the top edge with a little water to help seal the roll. Repeat the procedure to make 4 rolls. At this stage, the rolls can be wrapped individually in adherent plastic film and left to cool until they are ready to serve.
With a serrated knife (wet), cut each roll into 8 slices.
Serve accompanied by soy sauce.
