This tabbouleh dish is inspired by Lebanese cuisine, in addition to its exquisite flavor, it gives you a lot of iron so you will have energy all day, since it is made with lentils combined with purple onion, mint, parsley and a lemon vinaigrette.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 3 cups of Water
  • 1 Cup of lentil
  • 1 tablespoon of Salt
  • 1/2 Cup of red onion chopped, for the tabbouleh
  • 1/2 Cup of parsley finely chopped, for the tabbouleh
  • 1/2 Cup of peppermint finely chopped, for the tabbouleh
  • 1 Cup of tomato cut into small cubes, for the tabbouleh
  • 1/8 of Cup of lemon juice for the tabbouleh
  • 3 spoonfuls of extra virgin olive oil for the tabbouleh
  • 1 teaspoonful of Salt for the tabbouleh
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of zataar for the tabbouleh
  • 3 spoonfuls of feta cheese to decorate (optional)
  • to taste of peppermint to decorate

    Preparation

    Heat the water over medium heat with the salt and cook the lentils until they are cooked. Strain and cool.
    In a bowl, mix the lentils with the purple onion, the parsley, the mint, the tomato, the lemon juice, the extra virgin olive oil, the salt and the zataar. Mix perfectly.
    Serve in a deep dish, garnish with feta cheese and a sprig of mint.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve in a bowl with a little sprinkled feta cheese.

    TIPS

    We recommend using fresh mint, its aroma and flavor will give an exceptional touch.
