Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1/2 onions, for the sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, for the sauce
  • 500 grams green tomato, for the sauce
  • 5 morita chiles, soaked, for the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cumin, for the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon pepper, for the sauce
  • salt, for the sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth, for the sauce
  • vegetable oil
  • 1 cup onion, filleted
  • 500 grams beef steak, cut into strips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup nopal, cooked and cut into strips

Preparation

On a comal roast the onion, garlic, tomatoes, and red pepper. Reservation.
Blend the onion, garlic, tomatoes, red pepper, cumin, pepper and salt. Reservation.
In a pan over medium heat add the oil, the onion, the steaks season with salt and pepper, when they are cooked add the sauce and cook for 10 minutes add the nopales, cook for 5 more minutes.
Serve on an extended plate and accompany with white rice.

On a plate and accompanied by a drink.

TIPS

Wash the tomatoes very well to avoid making your sauce acidic.
