In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the tomatoes, onion, cinnamon, and sugar, boiling until the skins of the tomatoes can be removed. Once the tomatoes are cooked, remove the skins, and take a blender to add the tomatoes, onion with a little of that water, and blend while uncovering the blender and covering it with a cloth to avoid burns and allow steam to escape.
