Arabic bread is a bread also known as pita bread. It is very easy to make and it is much richer than the store bought one.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 2 spoonfuls of active yeast dissolved in 3 cups of hot water
  • 3 cups of flour
  • 3 cups of integral flour
  • 1 1/2 spoonfuls of coarse salt

    Preparation

    Mix the sugar to the yeast in a little warm water and make sure it bubbles, let it activate for 5 minutes.
    Mix the flour and wholemeal flour in a large bowl. Add the salt.
    Make a hole in the middle of the flour and pour the yeast mixture. Mix and with the hands begin to knead the dough.
    Place the dough on a clean surface dusted with flour and work the dough for 3-5 minutes until it is elastic and no longer sticks to the hands.
    Place the dough in a clean bowl and cover with a damp towel. Allow the dough to grow for 1 hour at room temperature.
    Take the dough and divide it into four. While working each room keep the rest of the dough under the wet towel to prevent it from drying out.
    On a clean surface sprinkled with flour, divide a quarter into four balls. With a roller flatten each ball so that it reaches approximately 8-10 cm in diameter. Place the loaves in a baking tray with plenty of space between each pan. Do this with all the dough.
    Cover the baking sheets with a damp towel and allow the bread to rise for 15 more minutes. While preheating the oven at 260 ° C.
    Bake bread for 4-5 minutes. Do not stop supervising them as it is easy to burn the loaves. Remove from the oven once the breads have been fluffed and allow them to cool.

    TIPS
