Prepare this hot atole based on corn masa, with a very original tamarind flavor, this recipe with natural tamarind pulp, sweetened with brown sugar and a touch of cinnamon, is ideal to share it on a cold day with your family.

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 Cup of corn dough
  • 4 cups of Water
  • 3/4 of Cup of tamarind pulp
  • 1 piece of piloncillo
  • 1 piece of cinnamon stick slices

    Preparation

    Blend the corn masa with water and the tamarind puree. Pour it into a sauce pan.
    Add the cinnamon stick and the grated piloncillo. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Serve warm.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve the atole in a jar.

    TIPS

    If you do not have corn masa you can use corn starch.
