This croquettes recipe is ideal for the little ones in the house because of its melted cheese filling; You can accompany them with salad, as part of your weekly menu or you can also prepare them as a snack at family gatherings.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 1 1/2 cups ground beef, beef
  • 1/4 cups onion, finely chopped, for meat
  • 1/2 cups BBQ sauce, for the meat
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, for the meat
  • 1 tablespoon mustard, for the meat
  • 1 egg, for the meat
  • 1/4 cups parsley, finely chopped, for meat
  • to taste salt, for the meat
  • to taste black pepper, for the meat
  • 1/4 cups ground bread, for the meat
  • 2 cups manchego cheese, in rectangles
  • 1 cup wheat flour, to batter
  • 2 eggs, smoothies, to batter
  • 2 cups ground bread, to batter
  • enough vegetal oil, to fry
  • enough dressing, thousand islands, to accompany

Preparation

In a bowl mix the ground beef with the onion, the BBQ sauce, the garlic powder, the mustard, the egg, the parsley, and season with salt and pepper. Add the bread crumbs and blend until you get a manageable consistency.
Take a portion of ground meat and with your hands begin to flatten, then gradually hollow out the center to fill with a rectangle of Manchego cheese, begin to cover the cheese with the same meat (only if necessary, you can place more mixture of meat to cover the cheese well), give it an oval shape until you get a croquette. Repeat until finished with the meat.
Cover the croquettes with the flour, pass them through the egg and cover them with the breadcrumbs. Fry in hot vegetable oil for 15 minutes at medium low heat; drain with absorbent paper.
Serve with a thousand island dressing and green salad.

TIPS

You can freeze the croquettes before breading for greater firmness and even keep for up to 5 days frozen, to use later.
