Traditional recipe of crunchy and tasty fried whiting, stuffed with Dolores® Tuna Yellow Fin in oil, sautéed with tomato, onion, garlic, cilantro and cumin to enhance the flavor. These whiting are the ideal entry to accompany a bit of a spicy sauce. Prepare them, they are very easy to do.

Ingredients

  • 2 spoonfuls of olive oil
  • 1/4 of Cup of Garlic finely chopped
  • 1/2 Cup of onion finely chopped
  • 1 Cup of tomato without shell and chopped
  • 1/4 of Cup of chile serrano finely chopped
  • 4 cans of Tuna Dolores® Yellow Fin in Oil drained
  • 2 leaves of laurel
  • 1/4 of Cup of coriander finely chopped
  • 1 pinch of cumin
  • 1 pinch of Salt
  • 1 kilo of Corn tortillas
  • 1 liter of oil
  • to taste of hot sauce
  • to taste of lemon

    Preparation

    Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat, cook the garlic and onion to make a golden color, add the tomato, the chile serrano, the Tuna Dolores® Yellow Fin in Oil, the bay leaves, the cilantro, the cumin and go out to your liking. Remove the filling from the fire, cool and reserve.
    Heat the corn tortillas in a comal and fill with the sautéed, close with chopsticks. Reservation.
    Heat the oil in a deep pot over medium heat. Fry the whiting until crispy. Drain the fat in an absorbent napkin.
    Serve with lemon, pot sauce and enjoy.

    PRESENTATION

    Serve the whiting on waxed paper with lemons and pot sauce to accompany.

    TIPS

    You can accompany the whiting with any sauce of your choice.
