Malabar Shrimp with Coconut Milk

These shrimp are delicious, prepared with coconut milk, onion, chili and spices.

Ingredients

6 servings
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard seed
  • 1 clove of garlic chopped
  • 1 cup of red onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 2 tablespoons of ginger chopped
  • 1/2 green chile chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh coriander chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of mashed tomatoes
  • 2 cups of coconut milk
  • 1 kilo of shrimp peeled

Preparation

Heat the oil, put the mustard seeds and cover them. When they heat, they jump, when they stop jumping, add the onion, garlic and cook for 5 minutes. Add the shrimp, salt and cook 4 minutes.
Add tomato puree, cumin, chili, ginger, coconut milk and boil uncovered to thicken a little.
Sprinkle cilantro and serve immediately.

PRESENTATION

Garnish with chopped cilantro.

TIPS

It can be served with rice.
