Ingredients

7 portions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
  • 1 fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 lemon zest
  • 1/4 cups coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetal oil
  • 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 500 grams shrimp, large, peeled, deveined and washed

Preparation

In a deep bowl, mix garlic, jalapeños, ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon, coconut milk, vegetable oil, salt and pepper.
Add the shrimp and marine at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
Place the shrimp on skewers (3-4 per skewer).
Heat a grill over high heat until the smoke starts to rise and cook the skewers until golden brown on each side (about 4 minutes).
Place the skewers on a serving plate.
Cook the shrimp marinade on the grill for 1-2 minutes to thicken and pour over the shrimp.
