Pork Chops with Caramelized Apples

If you want to pamper mom this Mother's Day, prepare these delicious pork chops with caramelized apples, you will be like a chef with your family members and they will love their juicy and exquisite flavor. Accompany them with mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 3 gala apples
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1/2 tablespoons rosemary
  • 1/2 tablespoons marjoram
  • 1/2 tablespoons paprika
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 600 grams pork chop, natural, thick
  • 1/4 cups mustard
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup onion, julienned
  • 3 tablespoons raw sugar
  • 3 tablespoons rum
  • to taste mashed potatoes, To accompany

Preparation

On a board, cut the Gala apple into wedges. Reservation.
In a bowl mix the garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, marjoram, paprika, salt and pepper.
Brush the pork chops with the mustard and top with the spice mixture.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter and chops, seal on both sides and add the Gala apple, onion, brown sugar, rum and cook for 15 minutes or until the apples and onion are caramelized.
Serve and accompany with mashed potatoes. Enjoy.

TIPS

If you use smoked pork chop, remove the salt from the ingredients.
