Mix 1 teaspoon of chlorine for each gallon of water, until you have enough water to cover the pumpkin. In this way you avoid the formation of fungi.

Dip the pumpkin to cover completely and let soak for 8 hours.

Remove from the liquid and dry with paper towels.

Sprinkle some of this mixture every 2 days. Do not use Vaseline, because mold can form.
