Banana Tamales with Nutella

This recipe for sweet tamales will become your addiction, whether for breakfast or as a dessert, they are the perfect treat for any occasion. These fluffy tamales are filled with banana spread with Nutella®. They are ideal to pamper your family with a glass of milk!

Ingredients

20 portions
  • 20 tamale leaves
  • enough Water, hot
  • 315 grams butter, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 3/4 cups raw sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 4 cups rice flour
  • 1/2 cups wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup banana, chopped
  • enough Water, for the steamer
  • 1 tablespoon Nutella®, 15 gr
  • enough banana, to decorate

Preparation

Soak the tamale leaves in hot water for 15 minutes or until soft. Drain and reserve.
In a blender, add the butter, little by little add the vanilla and brown sugar, continue beating until integrated. Add the egg pieces little by little.
Add the powders and beat until integrated for about 5 minutes, until the dough mixture is fluffy.
Place a tablespoon of masa inside each corn husk and add the banana. Close like a tamale.
Place the tamales in a steamer with water and cook for about 20 minutes.
Spread with Nutella® and decorate with banana. Enjoy.

TIPS

To know that the tamales are already cooked, when you open them, they should be easily detached from the tamale leaf.
