The oven is preheated to 175-180 ° C and the molds are prepared (2 round 9 "cakes, 22-24 cupcakes, 2 8" square cakes or 1 9 * 13 "cake).
Mix flour, royal, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. In another bowl beat the butter with the sugar at medium speed until the mixture is fluffy and pale, then add the vanilla. At low speed add the buttermilk * and beat (the dough will look like cut). The dry ingredients are added in 3 batches, beating well between each addition.
Put the mixture in the mold and hit several times to eliminate air bubbles. It is baked until it is golden and when inserting a toothpick it comes out clean, about 35 to 40 minutes. It is removed from the oven and left to cool for 10 minutes and 1 knife is passed along the edges. Remove from the mold and let cool for approx. 1 hour.
How to prepare the frosting: Put the cream cheese and the butter to beat until you get a light and fluffy consistency, approx. 2 minutes. Sugar and vanilla are added at low speed. If it is very watery it can be refrigerated before use to make it more consistent.
