Ingredients

12 portions
  • 175 grams sugar
  • 200 milliliters evaporated milk
  • 4 eggs
  • orange zest, to taste
  • 1/2 oranges, sliced
  • 200 milliliters orange juice

Preparation

Boil the milk and add the orange zest, this is only to flavor the milk and not cut as soon as it comes in contact with the juice / orange juice.
In a bowl add the sugar, the 4 eggs and the orange juice.

Add the milk (warm, not hot) to this mixture and stir everything.
For the caramel: Pour the sugar in a large pan, leave on low heat until it becomes liquid. Care at all times so you do not burn, move constantly.
Place the mixture in a previously caramelized mold. Take a bain-marie (can be in pressure cooker or in the oven) and cook for about 25 minutes. The time will depend on each express pot or oven. The best way to know that it is cooked in the case of the oven is to insert a toothpick, if it comes out dry it is ready.
Once warm, take it to the refrigerator and leave it there until the moment of serving it.
Decorate with orange slices.
