Cheese, Bacon and Morita Rolls

This snack recipe with cheese and picosita jam has a lot of flavor, besides it is a different option. These are delicious crispy rolls with creamy filling, accompanied by a red fruit jam with McCormick® morita pepper. As a tip, we recommend you to freeze the rolls very well, so that at the time of frying the filling does not come out and the layers of the puff pastry do not open completely.

Ingredients

4 portions
  • 2 packages cream cheese, for the filling
  • 1 cup bacon, fried, for the filling
  • 2 tablespoons chives, finely chopped for filling
  • 1/4 cups whole corn kernels, for the filling
  • 1/2 teaspoons cumin powder, for the filling
  • 1/4 cups jalapeño, finely cut for the filling
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons Red fruit jam with McCormick® morita pepper, for the filling
  • 500 grams puff pastry
  • 1 cup flour, to extend
  • enough oil, to fry
  • 1 cup Red fruit jam with McCormick® morita pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chives, to decorate

Preparation

In a bowl mix the cream cheese, bacon, chives, corn kernels, cumin and jalapeno pepper. Season with salt and pepper and then add McCormick® red fruit jam with morita pepper. Reservation.
On a floured surface, spread the puff pastry and cut 12 cm by 12 cm squares, fill and close. Freeze for 1 hour and reserve.
In a pot over medium heat, heat the oil and fry the rolls, then place on absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
Serve with McCormick® red fruit jam with morita pepper.
