First of all, you need to make the chili sauce to paint the tortillas red. Clean the ancho chili, removing all the seeds, and boil it until it softens. Then, transfer it to the blender and grind it together with the garlic, clove, salt, and water. Strain this sauce and fry it in 2 tablespoons of hot oil until it dries a little. Heat a little oil and chili sauce in a small pan. Fry the tortillas one by one, making sure to remove them as soon as they start to brown at the edges. Stack them on top of each other on a plate or tray.
