With this recipe you can prepare delicious recipes that take puff pastry, from an apple strudel, a roll with ham and cheese or a brie cheese wrapped in puff pastry.

Ingredients

12 portions
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 sticks butter, 90grs each
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cups Water, frost

Preparation

In the food processor put the flour, salt and butter in pieces. Process for 5 seconds. Add the ice water and press 5 times until the mixture looks gritty and the butter is in small pieces.
Form a ball with the dough and place in the refrigerator in a plastic bag for 1 hour.
Once the time has passed, remove the dough and stretch it on a flat, floured surface until it forms a rectangle.
Sprinkle some flour and fold the edges of the rectangle to the center and stretch again with the rolling pin. Repeat this step 5 times. (These are the same folds that form when you inflate and separate the layers when baking it).

TIPS

Make sure that the water is frozen by putting ice and when serving it only measures the amount needed (without the ice).
