This hummus or chickpea dip has dehydrated tomatoes giving it a different and delicious flavor, served with pita bread. It is a good snack for vegetarians because it is healthy protein.

Ingredients

10 portions
  • 2 cans chickpea, without its liquid
  • 1/2 cups tomtato, dehydrated in oil
  • 2/3 cups Water
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, cut in half
  • 1/4 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1/4 cups lemon juice

Preparation

The chickpeas (without their liquid) are placed in a food processor, the dehydrated tomatoes in their oil (reserving some to decorate), the water, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. It is processed until it has a dip consistency.
Test and add more salt if necessary. The lemon juice is also added to taste.
Put in a bowl and put in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
To serve, put a little olive oil on top, sprinkle with paprika and serve with hot pita bread.

PRESENTATION

Decorate the hummus with dehydrated tomatoes chopped in the center or with some chili.

TIPS

Accompany with vegetable sticks and cookies.
