This hummus or chickpea dip has dehydrated tomatoes giving it a different and delicious flavor, served with pita bread. It is a good snack for vegetarians because it is healthy protein.

Preparation
The chickpeas (without their liquid) are placed in a food processor, the dehydrated tomatoes in their oil (reserving some to decorate), the water, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. It is processed until it has a dip consistency.
Test and add more salt if necessary. The lemon juice is also added to taste.
Put in a bowl and put in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
To serve, put a little olive oil on top, sprinkle with paprika and serve with hot pita bread.
